The Balm Brigade

I've claimed my affirmations as part of the balmy army here. The perfect, easy to apply, texture that can be used on anything from hair to lips. Here are what favourites of the moment made the cut...

Oskia Micro Exfoliating Balm, £46, Cult Beauty
Warmed up in hands and applied with a little warm water this balm turns into milky form and becomes the most pleasurable exfoliating treatment around, almost hydrating as it exfoliates. Perfect for sensitive skinned ladies as it's extremely gentle. Formulated with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera & Zinc to sooth and hydrate whilst balancing out the skin.

Organic Surge Anywhere Balm, £22.50, Organic Surge
A fantastically zesty pick-me-up balm that heals dry skin with ease and is a pleasure to use on anything from cuticles to lips.

Bumble & Bumble Semi Sumo, £21.50 B&B
A balm texture for hair - Semisumo adds an extra glossy boost whilst getting rid of that 'first day fluff'. This would be more effective on someone with shorter hair, less heavy hair, but a lovely, simple way to add texture throughout the ends none the less.

Darphin Purifying Balm, £42, Feel Unique
An absolute saviour for any dehydrated yet oily skin. This hydrating balm seems to clear up my skin overnight, making inflammation look less 'angry' and decrease redness without stripping the skin. Love!

The Organic Pharmacy Rose Balm, £25, Organic Pharmacy
This saviour has been moving around from handbag to handbag with me. A light, hydrating, non-sticky lip balm that's been gracing cuticles too. Plus - it smells of rose and who doesn't love anything rose?

  5. I haven't tried any of these but they sounds great. I tend to favour specific products for specific places, i.e.: face, body, hands, lips etc.

Lip balm wise my undoubted favourite is MAC lip conditioner, I'm obsessed with that stuff!
