Every week the drugstore options seem to be blowing me away. First Revlon's foundation, L'Oreal's primer and now Maybelline's lips. In the quest for LFW appropriate low maintenance bold lip I came across
Maybelline 24 Hour Super Stay Bold Matte, which to much to my surprise were a breeze to master - bold lip lovers you won't be disappointed here...

Maybelline 24 Hour Super Stay Bold Matte in 830 Prune Plaisir, 800 Glamour Pink, 815 Fine Coral |
Onto the facts - what struck me the most was how easy it was to apply, even in a dimly lit taxi. No lip liner needed and the pigmentation is so rich one layer was plenty (I still applied an extra for luck). The wear time is brilliant too - seven hours with a slight touch up needed around food consumption. The double sided pen includes a mattifying balm which brings the lipstick back to a super matte formula but patted on lightly was perfectly matte enough for me.

If I was someone that used the phrase
'this is the bomb' that is how I would describe these. Bold, simple, low maintenance bright lip perfection. I think I'm on a drugstore makeup roll!
Anything else I need to pick up?
PS - someone even mistook this for By Terry!
Wow I love the colour range I will definitely be trying these out xxx

L'oreal infallible pressed eyeshadows, Bourjous healthy mix serum is great light/natural coverage and Rimmel lipsticks (the Kate Moss ones are great for bold lip lovers). Negative reviews and opinions of these are few and far between, pretty much everyone seems to adore them.
ReplyDeleteI wish you would show how they all look on you! But they look awesome and I'll definitely be trying it out.

I've given these a bash in the past and... I don't like them. They looked great at first, but then... Maybe my lips are defective (entirely possible!) but the pigment dries out and splits into caky flakes after a couple of hours. I wore a really bright red lip of this to a club and kept having to go flick off the flakes and reapply the colour. And they dried my lips right out. I'm not sure the long wearing lip lacquer formulas are for me unless they've managed to make them flexy!
ReplyDeletethe pink looks amazing on u! fab post as always :) xx
