A Bed Of Roses

Seeing as Valentines day is linked with roses this seemed like the perfect opportunity to rave about my numerous favourite rose beauty buys. I'll happily sit and inhale rose scented items and even more happily place them on my face and body. Even if you're not too keen on the scent perhaps the benefits will sway you - anti-inflamatory, soothing and redness relieving, to name but a few.

Let's start in the shower with Balance Me, who's cult products Rose Otto Shower Wash and Body Cream are all natural and organic. Both such a pleasure to use - light, hydrating and also available in miniature! Who doesn't love a good mini...
Melvita have just released their French Rose Pouch which contains a host of their best selling rose miniatures - a hand cream, rose toner & moisturiser, which will be placed under mothers pillow as a special Valentines surprise. Speaking of rose water toner, the rose water toner of all rose water toners has to be Amanda Lacey Persian Rose Water. I can't get enough of this luxurious number. It does something to my brain that I can't describe - if you're after a luscious skin treat this is it. Before moisturiser and after cleansing is perfect. I've even been decanting it into little perfume atomisers to that I can carry them wherever I go!

The star of the show here no doubt is By Terry, whos whole range contains, smells (highly) of and revolves around rose - which is what makes the products so unique (especially as you can smell them from a mile away.) Her cult product being Baume De Rose SPF 15, which isn't as hydrating as something like Dr Lipp but has the most gorgeous creamy texture that sinks into the lips. Everything from blush to tinted moisturiser contains rose and is all impressively hi-tech. Stay tuned for some product raves coming your way...

The Organic Pharmacy Rose Balm, £25
A slightly more affordable option would be the Organic Pharmacy latest release Rose Balm. Being an avid leader of the Balmy Army (yes, I did just make that up) the though of a rose balm, two words that have me running to counters, was almost too much to comprehend. But there it was a little multipurpose, lightweight anywhere balm that's perfect for popping in a clutch and applying on-the-go.

To go along with all things rose, nails are coated in Nails Inc South Molton Street, a sheer baby pink. Eyes are based in Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour in 65 Pink Gold and lastly added a couple drops of Ren Rose Otto Bath Oil to the bubbling bath... Did someone say there was a box of rose chocolates around?
