There's more than a bit of love for Perricone MD in my stocks at the moment, something that started as a summer No Foundation Foundation love affair, continued to grow with No Concealer Concealer and I'm pleased to report Perricone is now currently holding the predominant place in my skincare routine.
It's all perfection with the
Nutritive Cleanser, a gel texture that breaks down makeup with ease and feels as though it's giving my skin the cleanse it needs. Not to mention what dreamily gets applied following that,
Face Finishing Moisturiser, a light gel texture that's hydrating yet easily absorbed. (Both of which I've mentioned in more detail
here.)
No Foundation Foundation is something that's reserved for unbelieveable skin days, I'm talking Miranda Kerr glowing flawless skin as it provides the most minimal coverage around. On a day to day basis I'll reach for it as a primer whereas in the summer I'll slap a little on my skin to feel a little less naked. No Concealer Concealer, was another summer saviour, especially when not budging in the humid weather. Long lasting, heavy coverage, light and blendable but the only problem with the two of these is - it's one shade fits all.
My realisation of this love affair had me scouting the website for wise words from Dr Perricone and there they were in the form of his
The Clear Skin Prescription book, which has been taking a firm place on the night stand as part of my bedtime reading. I'll just cut to the chase here - this is an excellent read. It's not often you'll read something about skin and just think '
yes! This makes total sense!' (especially as everyone is constantly telling us different things). Dr Perricone takes you through the causes and treatments of acne, what foods to avoid that make the skin inflamed and the ingredients to look for in products. Let's just say this book has had a slightly large impact on my day to day routine...
Lastly are the Clear Skin Supplements. Oh supplements, something that confuses me dearly and having them neatly packed up in a simple box that gives me everything I apparently need making the whole admittedly confusing process simple. So far skin is still samey but it's only been a couple of weeks, I'll keep you ladies posted but my-oh-my do these make the supplement process a breeze!
Now the only question is, what to buy next?
PS - Yes, this was really long. What can I say? There's something about Perricone...
This looks like such a great brand! I'd really love to read the book. Lovely post :) x

DeleteI have the No-Foundation foundation. Still figuring out how it works into my routine. I'm not comfortable wearing it alone - playing with it as a primer under liquid foundation or mineral foundation. I haven't played with any of his skincare as I'm afraid I'll fall in love & his price points aren't quite where I want my skincare to be right now.
ReplyDeleteI know it's very expensive but so worth it!
DeleteI really love to read the book...
ReplyDeleteThanks..
