New In: Benefit Fine One One

Benefit are never one for dull releases - always thinking of fun, easy and accessible products. Fine One One, their latest (and three years in the making) three colour stick that's a cream-to-powder blusher.

The twist up stick is designed to be swept over the cheekbones to contour and highlight. Blend-ability of cream products is where I shy away but Fine One One got a thumbs up - light, buildable and easily blended with a pat of the fingertips. Once blended provides a beautiful peachy pink sheen with the lightest shade catching the light (I have received multiple compliments already - score!).

Two problems - the flat top and my rounder cheekbones ended up with an uneven distribution of colour, cue using the different corners for a more uniform finish. Secondly around the three hour mark there was hardly any colour to be seen (still longer than most cream blushers I own...) but I'll be forgiving seeing as the colour is absolutely gorgeous.

Benefit Fine One One is released tomorrow and will be £23.50. Will you be rushing to Benefit counters to pick this up?

  2. I'm a drugstore kinda gal, but Fine One One seems a bit 'meh' to me. I never thought face shapes would be a problem, but you're right! We all have different face shapes and bone structures, I don't get how 1 product can cater to us all. Not to mention its peach colour for contouring (?).

    1. Yes it was a bit hard to apply but I got round it! Yes it actually works quite nicely at defining :)

  3. I really like the concept of this but I don't think it's amazingly practical. I do like the colour, but as you said there is a chance of the product being uneven when buying and it doesn't last all too long. If it was a bit cheaper than £23.50 I could maybe consider it, but for now I think I'll pass! The colour looks lovely on you, though!

  7. This looks interesting! Shame it doesn't last too long & the application looks like it might be a bit tricky. Might be one to test in Boots or something first I guess :)

  10. This looks really cool, but I'd rather spend the money on a standard Benefit blusher. ;)
