The Miracle Scar Lightening Treatment

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution £36 here
Scar treatments were something I had little hope in, I had come to terms with blemish redness, thinking it would decrease overtime and no treatment would make a drastic difference. Whilst stocking up on my favourite Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate (something which I'm sure you've seen mentioned on LB more than you can count) I was a little intriged by Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

Soon enough a new blemish came and went as I was ready to put CCDSS to the test, morning and evening lightly dabbed onto the affected area and three weeks later there was no need to use half the pot of Kevin Aucoin Concealer to cover it up. Success!

After raving about the stuff to my friend Chloe, she decided to give it a go and kindly let me document the process before and after...I'll let the picture speak for itself!

Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. Before (left) After 3 weeks (right)

One bottle will set you back £36, but it's well worth it, especially as I don't see myself running out anytime soon, however Kiehls are excellent at giving out little samples so perhaps that's worth a try first!

PS - Two things 1. I had to refrain myself from calling this post I'VE FOUND A SPOT LIGHTENING TREATMENT THAT HAS WORKED!!!!! and 2. I'm guessing the newer the scar the better it works as I did try it on a (perhaps four year) old scar on my leg and didn't see much noticeable change.

  3. I go through so much rosehip oil to help with all the scarring on my face that it would probably be worth trying out a bottle of this. I hadn't heard of it before so thanks for posting about it. :)

  4. Wow, I would love to get this as I really suffer from scarring! It's quite a lot though, are there any other products you'd recommend that are cheaper-up to £20?

  5. My skin is covered in marks from breakouts and I saw Huda Beauty rave about this so I'm definitely getting it now. That photo shows a HUGE change!

  6. Hi Amelia I've been told that scars are 'fresh' for 3 months, so maybe that's why it didn't work so well on your older one. Great that it's helped with newer ones though!

  7. I heard good thing about Bio-Oil, do you rate it? I have it but the problem with these kind of treatment is after a few days I forget to use it, so I never can stick until the end to know the results...

  9. This looks awesome! But I'm wondering how much of the healing is just the natural process? but this would be a lifesaver, every zit of mine lasts forever.

  11. I love the sound of this but the price puts me off a lot - I'm relatively happy with how well my scars fade over a three week period so I don't think I'll be buying it in a hurry!

  14. Wow this sounds really good - I have a scare on my ring finger where the skin is quite delicate do you think it would do anything for that area?

Also is the product cruelty free? I sell cruelty free cosmetics online - www.naturesbeauties.co.uk and would love to stock this if it was?

  16. I wrote a review on this recently and although I've found it's brightened my complexion, I'm still trying to decided if it's had much effect on my scars (old and new). So glad I read your lovely post - it's made me all the more optimistic that I'll see similar results after a bit more use. Thank you! x Becky
