How To: Messy, Textured Hair

Currently loving: the three day old, I don't own a hairbrush, un-done bed head look. There are two ways I've found to go about this: either - channel my inner parisian chic and not brush my hair or be prepared with an army of products helping me look that way. Today it's the latter...

That 'army' of products I mentioned surprisingly only consists of just three hero's...

1. A voluminizing spritz, V05 Plump It Up, which I apply throughout the crown of towel dried hair before blowdrying to add some volume without making hair sticky or greasy looking.

2. A dry powder like L'Oreal Professionel Super Dust which adds incredible texture and separation, aiding to that lazy lock look.

3. A texturising paste, Bumble & Bumble Semisumo to add an extra glossy boost but keeping that hair grit, adding to a sultry un-done finish.

Spreading the Super Dust powder throughout the palms of my hands, I'll run it through mid-lengths to ends of my hair, separate the hairs as I go to add some grit and lived in texture.

To ensure everything remains well-held, I'll apply a scoop of Semisumo to the ends of my hair, scrunching up the ends to hold the loose curl in place, whilst still having a textured, messy look. Careless-looking tresses, be mine...

  3. Lovely! My hair is stick straight and cannot handle any haircut other than a bob, so I always find "messy" hair sexy and fascinating... we always want what we can't have!

Love your lipstick, what's the color?
