New In: Essie Nail Wraps

I'll be the first to admit that I had zero interest in nail wraps whatsoever until Essie put her name to them. Something about Essie that makes me think she can't get it wrong - despite being originally dissapointed they had caved into nail trends like magnetic polishes and having respect for the traditional brand that had been one of few that hadn't given into the hype.

My first dive into nail wraps was a pretty breezy one, especially for a nail challenged person like me. Three simple steps -  match up stickers to the nail (I put my nail underneath the clear layer), peel off and apply. Using the nail file that comes in the set gently buff away at what hangs over the nail, which came off very easily and voilรก!

Despite me thinking it would take a while it actually took a lot less time than painting my nails, especially as drying time was cut out. Perfect for a special event slap on and tear off later. My favourite from the bunch? Embrace The Lace and Love To Love You

Essie Nail Wraps in Love To Love You

I picked up Essie Nail Wraps in the US but they will be launching in the UK this month for £9.99. Will you be picking up Essie's Nail Wraps?

  1. These look cute - I like that Essie are branching out & releasing some new products. I like the look of the pink ones with silver glitzy tips.

  4. I did see these in Boots the other day and already knew I was interested in trying them but to be honest I was put off by the price. Most were £9.99 but others were £12.99 which I thought was expensive. I have tried nail wraps once previously and did not make a very good job of them so I would be reluctant to pay that much in case I messed them up x

  18. You can create the newspaper effect with nail varnish just as easily!

Simply start with by a white/grey all over base and then press newspaper or magazine cuttings, ink down on to your nails and apply pressure with a cotton bud dipped in rubbing alcohol against the newspaper/magazines to transfer the ink :)

  20. I LOVE those nails! the ones with writing in cursive? just so gorgeous! yeah lil Hannah Simpson said, you can get (sort of) the same effect with alcohol and newspaper. i'm not exactly sure how it works, but my friend did it and it looked pretty cool.

  22. Are these better than nail polish? as they seem pretty pricey but we would buy them if they stayed on longer than polish?

  24. I am fan of nail wraps I feel like they also peel off a layer of my nail and that sticky glue drives me nuts. I do think they have some cool designs and in a bind they are quick and easy.
