2012 was the year I really got into my skincare, as soon as I was happy with my makeup collection, I became obsessed with skin. I wanted to be good at it and take better care of it to really notice a difference. Makeup wipes were now a thing of the past...
Soap & Glory Pulp Friction
Soap & Glory scrubs were without a
doubt my favourite this year, despite the fact that so many make their way into
my stash but S&G are the ones I keep going back to. All of them feel as though my skin is given a good cleanse, removes any dead skin cells and fake tan
residue and doesn’t leave an oily overlay.
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing
Balm - full post
This was purely influenced by (the amazing)
Caroline, getting me into balm cleansers as opposed to gels or washes. An absolute pleasure to use as it didn't leave my skin tight or with an oily film - just cleansed and clean.
Darphin Purifying Balm - full post
Saved me from many lurkers this year, without drying out the skin. A little goes a long way - just dabbed on an area to nourish but decrease redness and inflammation.
Yes To Carrots Nourrishing Body Butter - full post
An easily absorbed, light yet nourishing
body butter that doesn’t leave an oily or sticky residue on the skin, in fact
it dries matte!
Bliss Lid + Lash Wash Makeup Remover - full post
Takes off my heavy smokey eye makeup in a
matter of seconds without tugging at my eyes or stinging, it's perfection!
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - full post
Overnight hydrating mask that doesn’t induce my face sticking to my pillow but leaves me with glowing, hydrated and radiant skin.
Kiehl’s Midngiht Recovery Concentrate - full post
After really getting into using oils this year my favourite has been Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate (I'm already on my second bottle!) A light, hydrating oil that leaves me waking up to bright and radiant skin, decreased redness and a more even complexion.
Oskia Micro Exfoliating Balm
After being a little intimated by
exfoliators I've found one I thoroughly enjoy using, that doesn’t tug at the skin or
leave it feeling dry or tight and is gentle yet effective. Oskia hit the nail on the head with this one!
Aesop Parsley Seed Eye Cream
Light hydrating eye cream that helps with dehydration but doesn’t interferre with concealer and diminish dehydration lines practically instantly.
Ren T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid
The moisturiser that has taken me through 2012 is Ren. A light, hydrating, non sticky, pleasantly scented moisturiser that I've really enjoyed using as I felt it helped balance everything out.
Ren Invisible Pores Detox Mask - post here
My favourite face mask I've ever come across! A clay mask that helps reduce pore size and blackheads, leaving skin purified, soothed and toned as well as unbelievably smooth.
Love this post! I love Soap&Glory scrubs so much, too! They work so well on my skin! :))
