Since then I've really gotten into my brows! I've experimented with liquid pens, powders and pencils, the latter being my favourite purely thanks to this Anastasia Brow Wiz in the shade Brunette (post here) which has such a fine nib it's easy to create fake little hairs. Here's how I go about doing my brows...
| Nyx Eyebrow Shaper, Anastasia Brow Duality in Lace, HD Brow Beater, Anastasia Brow Gel in Clear, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette, Suquu Liquid Pen in 01 Green, Spoolie Eyebrow Brush |
The main saviour is something that's so cheap and simple, a plain good old spoolie brush, which I use before and after doing my brows. Before to comb everything through as they have the tendency to be quite unruly and following applying the colour to even the it out and blend any harsh lines.

My two favourite brow items are Anastasia Brow Wiz and Suquu Liquid Pen. Brow Wiz is what I use on a daily basis as the nib is really fine and it's a perfect shade for my brows. Suquu Liquid Pen gets picked up if I'm looking for a slightly more natural effect. I have the shade 01 Green but when applied blends beautifully with my brows and doesn't make them appear filled in at all.
I'll then apply some Brow Gel to keep all the hairs in place. If my eyebrows are growing out a little and need to be threaded then I'll use Anastasia Brow Gel (post here) as it's a little thicker or if I need a lighter layer of gel I'll use the HD Brow Beater. There's always that one pesky hair that won't stay in place and for that I'll reach for NYX Eyebrow Shaper which is what I like to name a Brow Fix - a wax pencil that helps the most unruly hairs behave!
I love a good eyebrow arch, for some highlighting I'll use Anastasia Brow Duality in Lace which is a double ended pencil - golden shimmer on one side and matt on the other. It looks beautiful when used as a natural highlighter - very similar to Benefit High Brow Glow (post here)
It's very clear I'm a massive Anastasia convert which is why I let off a little childish squeal when Cult Beauty started stocking them as they were previously unavailable in the UK.
What do you do with your brows? Anything you recommend to a newbie?

I really want to try some of the Anastasia products! They work so well. You have lovely brows btw :) xx
ReplyDeleteThey are fantastic :) Thank you for the lovely comment! xx
DeleteI wish i had thick eyebrows, but mine are very light.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true they define your face and eyes, but i feel i look weird when i use too much brow powder, so i just add a little and then benefit's brow set.

Oooh I've heard great things about that set! It's next on my list! xx
DeleteI have such thin, blonde eyebrows so it can be really hard to make them look quite thick and lovely like yours! I find that the hd brows palette and also the rimmel profession eyebrow pencil quite good! :D Hannah xx

I recently received the HD brows palette and look forward to using it! :) Thanks for the lovely comment! xx
DeleteYou have gorgeous brows! I spend a LOT of time on my brows every morning because if I choose not to wear makeup that day, I still do my brows (and under-eye concealer!) everyday.
ReplyDeleteMy current pencil is a bit too brown for my tastes (my brow colour leans more towards an ashy brown) and I'm looking for a new one. Any recommendations? I'd prefer not to spend too much money on it though!
Oooh! I recently got the HD brows palette in a glossy box and testing that out - it's a powder with 4 different shades so you can mix the colours to get the exact one of your choice! It's £20 though! If not Sleek do a lovely one for a lot cheaper :) xx
DeleteYour brows are fab. I need to spend a little time & TLC on my. They really do make such a difference. I LOVE my HD brow kit from this months Glossybox.
ReplyDeleteThat seems to be quite a popular one! Ahh thank you for the lovely comment! xx
DeleteWow! Amazing brows! Xx.
ReplyDeleteAh thank you for the lovely comment! xx
DeleteI've actually been neglecting my brows for the last weeks, shame on me! But there's actually a reason behind it, they've been overplucked. Not by me, I went to get them done at a salon and they plucked away until I now have very thin brows (ieek!). I can't wait to grow them out again and fill them in. You have amazing brows, with and without any products.
ReplyDeleteAhh no that's sooooo sad :( I'm sorry! i hate it when Salons do that! Try putting castor oil on them every night that worked for me once! xx
