Currently Loving: Cream Eyeshadows

Something easy I've been reaching for these mornings afternoons in Ibiza where we are hanging out by the pool or heading to lunch are cream eyeshadows, as they've been a really quick and simple way of slapping something on whilst looking a little more 'done'. They've all been surviving the heat and even the chlorine which I'm very impressed with!
First up are Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadows in 4 Sandy Gold and 16 Beach Bronze, these were a summer staple for me last year and are back for round two! Really creamy, waterproof and just so easy to slap on with my fingers. A lighter option which is less long lasting is the Becca Water-Resistant Colour For The Eyes in Baroque - it provides a small hint of colour but it's so fuss free that it could literally be applied with eyes closed!

If my eyes need some extra definition I've been quickly grabbing Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in 2L running it along my lash line and blending with my fingers. When it's an evening event and there hasn't been time to redo my makeup I've been smoking it all up a bit using Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in 15.

Do you like cream eyeshadow products or do you shy away from them?

  1. Ahh these all look fab! I'm a tiny bit disappointed by the bobbi Brown. I have two that are quite sheer and have no colour pay off really. The MUFE are amazingggg...love cream bases.
How I wish I could be by the beach right now :(
    Enjoy! X

  8. I'm totally in love with cream eye shadows and blushes. They're perfect for summer when you don't have time for make up ( sometimes I'm using my fingers to apply them and it's work great ) For some reason I think that cream eye shadows and blushes look more natural and give glow that I love!

  9. I don't feel like putting in the effort of several powder shadows. Some cream shadows reflect light and look great in less than a minute. Laura Mercier Alloy, Milani Shadow Eyez in Champagne Toast(really shocked at how good that is), Essence Stay All Day (dupes for MUFE), and Maybelline Color Tattoo. I always use the cheaper ones in the summer.
