An Introduction To Beauty Boxes

I've never gotten into beauty subscription boxes because I like to research items before I purchase them and have very specific taste in skin and haircare. However I recently took the plunge and ordered three different boxes, She Said Beauty, Joliebox and Glossybox. There are two sides to my views on this, the side that doesn't want to chance spending £10 a month for products I may or may not like, but the parcel loving side of me absolutely loved it. Reciving and big package full of products and having no idea what's inside...

When you purchase your subscription box you  have to full out a 'beauty profile' with your details like hair and eye colour and your ideal products. You then get sent a beautifully packaged box once a month that includes some full size and some luxury sample size products - perfect for a beauty junkie! They try and include different bits each month, some haircare, skincare, nails and body care. What I did love was discovering new brands and products I wouldn't pick up by myself.

I'm not going to comment on the products in each box as they will vary every month but two things that stood out to me were the Joliebox magazine which I LOVED (I would genuinely pay for this!) such a lovely and easy read. Also I loved that each Glossybox has a theme, like the one above is the natural box where all the products are of course natural and the picture below is their first birthday box - with balloons how cute!

After trying a couple of boxes I feel in love with the element of surprise or receiving a box each month and testing out the different products I wouldn't buy myself even though I do realise nothing they included was ever going to blow me away! I think I'll keep my boxes for a little bit longer...

Glossybox is £12.95 per month and you can visit their site here
Joliebox is £12.95 per month and you can visit their site here
She Said Beauty Box is £11.95 per month and you can visit their site here

Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes? Which one is you favourite?

Ps- You can use the empty boxes for storage they are too cute!       :)

  6. I can understand the appeal for these boxes but I have to be careful what goes on my skin due to allergies so there is not point me subscribing. I also see so many negative posts why are people wasting £12 a month if they dislike the service? is it simply to get a blog post out of it? Anyway £12.95 across a year is £155.40 I'd rather put that towards a holiday :)
